Wearables Workshop at Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung

WAN-IFRA’s Global Alliance for Media Innovation recently held a Wearables Workshop at the German Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung publishing house to explore the possibilities offered by new wearable platforms such as smartwatches and Google Glass.

Smartphones and tablets have already brought fundamental change to the publishing industry and the next revolution is rapidly approaching. Wearables, such as smartwatches or Google Glass, may well trigger another disruption in the way we produce and consume news. Early exploration of new technologies is the key to success.

“We’re going to offer this workshop to other clients who are interested,” says Ralf Ressmann, WAN-IFRA’s Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). “Also, there will be another workshop during the Digital Media Europe Conference in London in April.”
