Help draw attention to culture of impunity around journalists' killings

Tomorrow, as part of the build-up to November 2, the Committee to Protect Journalists will release its annual impunity report. New statistics on killings of journalists and the status of subsequent investigations will be published on November 2 by UNESCO. The video message below from UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information, Frank La Rue, is a reminder of why it matters.

The International Day to End Impunity was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 in commemoration of Claude Verlon and Ghislaine Dupont, the two French journalists who were assassinated in Mali on November 2 of that year.
