Reutlinger General-Anzeiger chooses Multicom

For multicom GmbH, which to date has provided publishing systems for larger publishers and media groups, the partnership with the General-Anzeiger means entering a new market segment.

The aim of this joint project is to make editorial workflows more efficient and continuous, in order to cope with the continuing growth of multimedia production requirements.

For Editor-in-Chief Hartmut Troebs and IT Manager Michael Weiss and their teams, the combination of well-thought-out functionality, intuitive handling and practical multi-media capabilities was the decisive factor in favor of Multicom.

Valdo Lehari Jr., Publisher and CEO of the regional daily, which has been published for more than 125 years, also based the decision on both economic and strategic long-term aspects.

"In the foreseeable future our editors will have to work ever more efficiently to be able to provide sufficient editorial resources to fulfill the growing demand for crossmedia products," said Lehari.

For the market segment of smaller and medium-sized editorial departments, multicom has developed the „MultiCompact“ package, which is tailor-made for the demands of smaller and medium size publishing houses.

MultiCompact combines highly sophisticated multimedia functionality with best-practice workflows, thus reducing demands on personnel during system implementation and operation as well as minimizing the financial outlay.

Entering the market segment of smaller and medium-size publishing houses is not the only diversification that multicom is undergoing at the moment.

Beyond the news publishing industry, Multicom has entered the sector of corporate publishers who aim to produce publications in multiple languages with maximum efficiency.
