Digital Print Moves!

Digital printing has arrived at newspapers … and at the World Publishing Expo! At the “Digital Print Moves” pavilion in hall 2, Koenig & Bauer, Kodak, manroland web systems, Océ Printing Systems and the startup company Peecho present their products in this area.

KBA sales director Jochen Schwab shows webs printed on newsprint and other paper qualities on the RotaJet76 press.

KBA demonstrates its competence in precise machine manufacturing not only in offset but also in digital printing with the new RotaJet76 press. Klaus Eppich, project manager Digital Printing says: “As digital printing is a non-impact process, precision engineering is even more important than in offset printing. KBA RotaJet leaves not doubts as to its suitability for industrial print production.”

Kodak shows the Prosper S30 imprinting system in a video recorded at the Axel Springer printing plant in Ahrensburg where the system is installed in an offset press for hybrid printing and being used daily at full press speed. The visitors are also informed about the Kodak injket presses for fullpage newspaper printing.

Océ informs about their JetStream colour inkjet web systems and provides print examples of newspapers like KERK & leven and The Australian, some of them  individualised.

manroland web systems provides information on its variable-format finishing line FoldLine that will be used by their client Rivet Presse Edition in France in combination with the a JetStream 4300 press of Océ.

Peecho shows how to turn digital content into (digitally) printed products like books and magazines and to sell these over the website with their web-to-print solution Simple Print Service.
