CEO Mikko Koskinen said that the idea is that once the user downloads the content, Scoopinion observes how the reader is using the content, and based on this behavior they send out the personalized web-content.

Basically, users give reading data, and get the “best” journalistic pieces. The data is used to increase revenue and get better stories. It is a cycle of improving journalism, according to Koskinen.

Other media companies in Finland have recently contacted Scoopinion in order to use the same kind of analytics tools.
