Solutions Journalism is a form of constructive storytelling where a reporter investigates the work done by solution-providers – these could be communities or social entrepreneurs or non-profit organizations in your patch. Journalists around the world are usually wired to think about “what’s going wrong” in their beat.
Solution journalism is an opportunity to engage a younger audience in local news more effectively than in a pure problem approach.
With this training, they will shift their focus on “what’s going right” with the issues that have gone wrong for years.
By doing so, you will become a part of educating and informing the public about a change that may be happening for the better – a change that other communities can learn from, get hope and inspiration.
